Derrick Rose shows he loves the Knicks

Not long ago we were all thinking of his return to the rotations but that was not the case. Derrick Rose is not being considered by Tom Thibodeau, but despite this, he remained with the Knicks even after the trade deadline. Rose, who however is highly regarded by Thibodeau, now has another role in the team. Rose is a Knicks locker room leader, a mentor to younger players. Thibodeau thinks he’s more useful off the field and Rose is accepting this new role, so much so that the veteran point guard doesn’t seem to be looking for a acquisition.

Rose is not in the rotations but he is happy to be a leader of the Knicks, to be of help to the younger ones. Clearly, however, he would like to have more playing time and therefore, while not looking for another team, he would not completely discount the possibility of a buyout if a team needed a veteran point guard.

However, the New York Knicks always have precedence. For Derrick Rose New York comes first and this to remain with the Knicks despite being out of the rotations is a demonstration of Rose’s great love for New York.
