Chris Paul to the Knicks can do as a mentor to young

There have been rumors of Paul at the Knicks since Leon Rose, Paul’s former agent, was named team president in March.

Entering his 35-year season, Paul may not want to lead a reconstruction, but there is still the charm of New York and Madison Square Garden, and Paul’s relationship with Rose makes it a natural landing.

The Knicks can easily absorb Paul’s contract given their clean coverage for the next few seasons, and Paul would provide instant stability to a troubled franchise.

Just could mentor the youngsters of the Knicks RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson.

To soften the blow of losing young pieces like Knox and Ntilikina, the Knicks could ask 22-year-old Hamidou Diallo. The athletic winger is still raw in attack, but Diallo is ready to help in defense. It’s perfect for the Knicks who grew up in Queens.
