Celtics without a star for the game against the Knicks

The Celtics have announced that star guard Jaylen Brown will miss Monday’s matchup with their Atlantic Division rival, the New York Knicks. It’s not Brown’s pre-existing injury – he currently wears a mask while playing after suffering a facial fracture – that is forcing him out of the lineup, as he’s been sidelined for personal reasons.

It will be the 12th game Brown has missed this season. Brown played 37 minutes and scored 26 points in a madcap win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.
